Dairy intolerance - how long until you noticed a difference?
My 3 week old has had quite a time with tummy troubles. My doctor prescribed us Zantac, but I realized I hadn't had dairy in a few days anyways, I might as well try cutting that out before starting her on a medication.
Things started looking better but I was just doing it casually so I wasn't convinced and thought maybe it was just time. I was drinking lactose free milk each morning and she never seemed bothered and was sleeping fine, so I thought it wasnt the reason. Last night I ate Alfredo pasta...and the colicky behavior is back. I didn't get her down until 4am and she keeps waking up and is unable to stay asleep at naps.
I feel incredibly guilty for doing this to her. While I now know and will indefinitely stop, if you had to do this, how long until you noticed a difference?
I know it can take weeks for it to be out of my system, but was hoping someone noticed improvements each day.
Thank you for your help. 😣
