So I bought my 17 month old her own potty since she has been showing signs of readiness (hiding behind furniture or in other rooms to poop, nodding her head “yes” when asked if she pooped, pulling at her diaper when it’s wet/dirty, and she has seemed fascinated by watching me use the bathroom), so I figured why not? Let’s see what she does! This potty looks like a real toilet, just toddler-size, and it has a handle to make a flush sound when baby is done.

She is very interested in the potty. When I ask if she has to use the potty, she runs to the bathroom and sits on it. But she thinks the seat is a lid and always pulls it up before sitting down, and so far she doesn’t like to sit on it without a diaper on. Any advice on how to get her to actually use the potty? 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
