What time do you put your newborns down for the night?

I give my son his last bottle at 9:00 and he’s so tired by then he can’t stay awake to eat or burp. I feel like if I put him down earlier he’ll won’t sleep as well.

We don’t have a “last bottle” because he’s still eats every 3-4 hours 🤷🏼‍♀️

Alls I got to say is kudos to you, all these negative Nancy’s about newborns feeding whenever they want. Your setting yourself up for a great sleep routine as baby gets bigger. We did this exact same thing with my son and by the time he was 8-10 weeks old he had a solid bedtime routine and sleep pattern. He was sleeping through the nights by 6months old. He is now 2.5 years old and still to this day goes to bed religiously at 7:30-8pm and sleeps till 8:30 am — all because we started a healthy sleep environment including a schedule and routine. 
My daughter is only 2.5 weeks old but we have already started getting a routine going. Every single night we go upstairs to start our night routine at 8:30-9pm which includes sitting in her boppy and and stretching while I pump for 15 minutes. Then change diaper and into footie pajamas. Last we get swaddled up which we only do at bedtime and then she gets her bottle and burp and rock till she dozes off and into bed. She sleeps about a 4-5 hr stretch already. Typically our feeding schedule is 9:30p / 2am/ 6:30/ and then wakes for the day around 9-9:30am.

I don't know what the difference supposed to be between putting baby down for the night and putting down for the day, my baby sleeps random amounts of time no matter what part of the day or night it is. So he goes down whenever he's ready to sleep ? For instance last night he went to sleep at 8 woke up at 10:30 back to sleep around 11-11:30 woke up at 12:30 back to sleep by 1:15 up at 2:45 down by 3:30 up at 5 down by 5:45 up at 6:30 down by 7 slept till 10:30 up  till 1:00 down till 1:30 up till 2:45 down till 5:45 and it's currently 7:30 and hes still up. And I thought we had a schedule going last week . Every week I laugh at the me of last week for she thought she knew what she was doing but in fact she did not.

Mine eats at 12 ish and then again at 3 ish, sometimes she will go a little longer, but 3 or 4 hours tends to be her average between feedings. She is 4 weeks old.

I just started to try to establish a routine at 4 weeks. He stills gets up to feed multiple times in the night, but between 7-9pm (I know, large time range), I put him in a swaddle and in his cradle to sleep. It’s the only time we do this. He generally gives me about 3.5 hours between feedings, and is up for the day around 8-8:30am.

We were solidly at 8 o clock and then the time change happened 😡 so now it’s closer to 7 and I need to work back up to 8.  Then she eats once before midnight and once after and is up for the day earlier than I’d like (around 6).
