Newborn sleeping too much?

What sleeping pattern does your two month old have at night & during the day? I noticed today she’s up for only 30 and sleeps 3-4 hours and at night 5-6 is this normal?

Yes it’s normal. As long as your baby is having enough dirty diapers then you are fine. By time my son was 3 months old, he was sleeping 12 hours during the night and napping 3-4 1-3 hour naps. He loves sleep and still does, he is 1 year old.

My 2 month old does 10pm-7:30am and then eats every 3 hours through the day. Typically he takes 1-2 hour naps in between every meal. I try to put him on his mat to play or in his boppy on his belly to play with a toy some before he takes each nap. Sometimes he only does 10 minutes of playing before he gets annoyed, but it’s really helped him I feel.

My pediatrician said a real pattern won’t emerge until sometime after 2.5 months . If you’re concerned then give your pediatrician a call
