Tattoo? Do you think this is dumb?

So my dad died when I was 7. And I recently came across a piece of scrap paper her wrote on with just a random stuff on it. I was thinking about taking letters from his handwriting and writing “dad” or his initials. Do you think this is a dumb idea

Not at all. My dad died 2 weeks after my wedding on 8/14/17. I was devastated. I found one of the last cards he had given me and had his signature as well as his fingerprint and my nickname tattooed on my right wrist. A constant reminder that he’s always with me 💙

I combined my three cats names and got them tattooed on my calf. They were my babies and I miss them everyday. I think it's a cool idea and it's sweet.

What matters is your opinion on it, plenty of people will tell say no or that its dumb but that doesn't matter. If that's something near and dear to you and you want to keep your Father's memories near to you then I say do it. This is something that has meaning to you and the only opinion that matters on it is yours.
I'm sorry for your loss, personally I think the tattoo is a wonderful idea. I've seen many tattoos that honor passed family members.
