Just Confused

So, I am new to charting. I noticed in my chart that I got a high temp before my OPK even registered positive. After my OPK showed positive, I expected a rise in temp, and I have been concerned that at my age maybe I am not ovulating. However in looking at it, I do see a general pattern of higer temps around my predicted ovulation. Am I overthinking it?

I am honestly wondering if BBT will work for me. I am one of those people who wakes up at least once, sometimes more overnight. So I have just been taking temps whenever I wake up and then of course checking that I have been asleep at least 3 hours before charting. I am afraid to wait until I wake up for good at 5am, because if I wake up at 3:30 and go back to sleep I wouldn't have slept for 3 hours? Wondering if there is a better way to do it?
