I had some light brown spotting over the weekend. I went to the ER to be “reassured” that everything was fine and unfortunately just the opposite happened. The baby measured 6 weeks 4 days on the internal ultrasound when it should have been 9 weeks and no heartbeat was detected. We were told it is heading in the direction of a miscarriage, but that we should return in a week just to be sure. The prognosis is not good though according to the doctor. This is our first pregnancy and I had just revealed the news to my parents and siblings last week. We are so sad, but anxious to try again.
