Lame question...

Okay, so it gets harder to conceive the older you get, but if your periods are regular and you are ovulating every month -- why?

I mean, if you ovulate and time things right then why are your chances still so low?

Is it just an egg quality issue at that point?

That’s possible Try if you’re open to at home insemination me and my husband tried the Mosie Baby kit I bought online and I used PRESEED you can get at Walmart and it helped us TTC along with tracking when I ovulated with OPK and we were pregnant in 4 months I’m not saying it’s a guarantee chance what I did will happen to you but it’s worth a TRY I mean after all it’s a Baby were getting as the ultimate prize but I would recommend this to you as my BFF recommended it to me and it worked for her as it did for me blowing Baby dust your way 😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏

Well sex is the the act of pleasure but when you inseminate you are actually inserting the sperm near your cervix to increase your chances of conceiving I didn’t care about we got pregnant as long as I was able to achieve my goal of getting pregnant and having that moment of accomplishing something that took so long to achieve by having SEX 2 years and I honestly believe that Mosie Baby and PRESEED with OPK is what helped us get pregnant so I’m spreading the word for all us future Moms who’s just wondering what else you can do to increase your chances of having your beautiful BABY without breaking the BANK with IVF,IUI and any other fertility method I hope this helps you 😊

Just curious, what’s the advantage of home insemination vs. sex?

Yes, it becomes a quality and quantity issue as you age. Every month you loose eggs, so your reserve is less and less as you get older. You’d rather have quality over quantity since it only takes 1 healthy egg. Good luck to you!!

Mainly quality, for many women. These egg folicles have been in there since you were in your own mother's womb. Not only are they pretty old now, but your body most likely picked the best one to be released when you were younger (and more likely to be trying to have children). What we have after 50 are the leftovers and, as with real leftovers, they are a bit "hit and miss", but mostly miss... 😂Add that to the fact that, even though we only release one or two eggs per cycle, several of them (some studies say up to 20) are prepped every cycle, but soon discarded/reabsorbed, once the body chooses the Queen Egg.

Ha! I knew it was a typo, but still somewhat funny. ;)

Get a new gynecologist. I'm 42 end of this year and pregnant with my second. All the docs and nurses at the hospital say my age isnt an issue.

Unfortunately even if you have intercourse every day, the sperm and egg still need the perfect environment to ‘get together’ (as long as there are no other underlying issues). Hence why it can take awhile to get pregnant.

I guess so. It might just be the whole environments that’s getting less attractive for an egg to hatch :)

Are you checking ovulation with opk? I’m super regular with period too but just found out I didn’t ovulate this month (no LH surge). Super red flag heading to doc for more testing. Good luck.
