Advice?

Question

Any advice for someone who just had emergency surgery to have their appendix out? I went to the ER two nights ago for extreme abdominal pain, thinking they were just going to tell me I had gas build up but I had appendicitis. Luckily my appendix was only inflamed and hadn't burst yet. But anyways does anyone have any advice for me? Recovery wise? I am home now.

Ughh I can only relate bcuz of the fact I had  surgery before to get my appendix removed but I was just a little baby so I can’t really explain how to feel but just relax and like the other person said , just follow your docs instructions.

Just take it easy for a few days. If it was laparoscopic, recovery should be pretty straightforward. If it was open, just be sure to take care of the incision and watch for signs of infection. Take pain meds only as needed, plain Tylenol if pain isn't severe.
