Fresh squeezed orange juice? Ok or not?

My husband squeezed it fresh while we’re on vacation in Florida. I read only pasteurized juices are ok. Should i not drink it? I’m 6w 1day

I’ve also read this and rolled my eyes and squeezed my oranges. There are a handful of recommendations that deserve nothing more than an eye roll or middle finger. 😁

Its fine if you drink it that same day. If there is some left over i wouldnt drink it tomorrow. As bacteria can grow.

Fresh is fine. If it is bottled it needs to be pasteurized

The reason juice needs to be pasteurized is because it generally sits on the shelf at the supermarket and is mass produced. Fresh squeezed is fine because there isn’t time for the pathogens to multiply. But you should definitely wash the oranges really well before cutting them as the outside can be contaminated with pathogens
