Is it normal to masterbate everyday when you are pregnant?

My s/o likes to have sex while I am pregnant however its very uncomfortable and sometimes it even hurts so he stops. Masterbating just seems to feel better right now. Before I got pregnant we had sex 4 or 5 times a week.
