Disney Vacation on a budget?

My husband and I have three kids, and we really want to take them to Disney, but have a vacation budget of about $4-5k. Is it even possible to do that within that budget?? Kids are 11, and 7 year old twins. We live in VA....so would definitely need lodging also. Any tips?

Yes you can!
1. Cheap flights. Spirit, Frontier
2. Stay ON property, at an All-star resort. They are the cheapest and you get all the perks of staying on Disney property (free transportation to/from Orlando airport, and to all parks)
3. Bring some food with you, to help save $$ in the parks 
Here's also what I personally do to save money:
I don't buy drinks. I just drink the free water! I bring snacks and fruit with me to save money on meals too and it's healthier.
I don't buy park hopper tickets, only the normal 1 park each day tickets. We do 1 day at each park, and it's perfect.

If you’re doing Disney World, you can order groceries to your hotel room to pack lunches instead of eating in the park. I think it was called Garden Grocer.

Are you trying to go to Disney World or Disneyland? My husband and I took our three kids to Disneyland. Granted, our boys were two so they were free. But all in we spent about $3,000.... so the extra $1,000 you have could be for the extra tickets. 
If you’re not sure which to go to, Disneyland is cheaper, rides are longer and lines shorter. We’ve been to both, I just don’t know how much Disney World is because it was gifted to us.

Possible if you drive and don’t stay in the actual Disney resort but get a hotel close by. They usually have deals on more then one day visits
