Can high HCG beta results indicate twins?

Hey ladies! So I had my second beta test done today and the number has more than doubled! I found out when I was 3 weeks 4 days and my level that day was 160. 
Today I am 3 weeks 6 days and my levels are 441 with my progesterone being at 35! The doctor was shocked at my levels with how early I am. She said my levels could indicate that we may be pregnant with twins! 😳
What I was wondering was how far along  you ladies were when you found out you were expecting, what were your levels at your 1st and 2nd beta tests, and if you had just 1 baby or if it was twins!???

That’s not very high. My hcg at 4 weeks was 8000. Hcg doesn’t mean anything about multiples.

Hcg levels doesn’t indicate multiples. My hcg has always been high and I’m having 1.

I only had my hcg tested once (I don’t think it’s common to keep getting tested unless you’ve had issues in the past?) and it was around 7000 at 5 weeks. But I’ve heard of many women on here who had levels about 5x higher with just one baby, so it’s really impossible to tell.  Only an ultrasound can tell you.

That’s what my levels were roughly and I only had one baby :)
