Any mommas with an under active thyroid?

Hi! Looking for some advice from other mommas who have an under active thyroid! 
I’m about 4 weeks along in my first pregnancy - I’ve gotten my 8 week appointment scheduled for April 17 with a new OB. I have an under active thyroid and have been on levothyroxine for about 3 years now. Because the OB hasn’t treated me before, they said I’d need to go to my regular physician to check my levels to make sure my meds don’t need to be adjusted. My physician isn’t able to see me until March 28 - is it ok to wait 2 weeks, or should I push to be seen sooner?

You should be fine. My OB just added a thyroid panel to my bloodwork to check what my levels looked like pre pregnancy. But two weeks should be a big deal if your regulated.

I would push personally. My TSH before pregnancy was .67 and then Monday (5 weeks) it was 1.67 so it jumped up quickly

I would also make it where they can test you every month for the first two trimesters.

I think it’s okay. It depends during the first trimester you would probably need a lower dose. Because the hcg hormone also produces t4. When I found out I was pregnant I hadn’t taken my hormone for 5 months. It took them a bit to see me. But it depends where they usually have your TSh levels at for pregnancy it should be at .01 to a 2.5. I would ask what are you levels now because your hcg will increase at 6 weeks and decrease at a certain time.
