Part 1: how long do you keep leftovers in refrigerator?

It depends on what it is, home made leftovers, restaurant leftovers, meat, veggies or bakes. It just depends.

Typically anything over a day goes out. Not because it's bad, but because I most likely don't want it if it's been sitting in there for more than a day. I'm picky about leftovers and I just don't like eating some food more than once

Day three is take it or toss it day. If it's not consumed by then, it's in the trash. Unless its fish, that's gone next day if it isn't consumed. I've gotten pretty good at cooking proper portions so I don't have leftovers unless it's a roast or something, which I then freeze leftovers for meals the next couple weeks.🤷‍♀️

I cook on Sunday, have dinner and pack them in separate dishes and freeze them. They last around a week. I take them to school for the whole week.

Usually two-three days. It’s probably still okay after that, but if it hasn’t been eaten by then, it’s likely that it won’t get eaten.

I have it down pretty good so that I only ever make enough left overs for my husband to take to work and an extra serving or two for me to have for lunch or for fend for yourself night, we love leftovers, especially leftover pastas, stews, and chili so we rarely have any waste.
I clean out the fridge twice a month, if there's something in a Tupperware bowl that managed to slip through the cracks and not get eaten, that's when I throw it out.
