Swelling worse after delivery?

I’m only 2 days postpartum but holy crappy my swelling in my feet is bad! Minimal swelling during pregnancy...anyone else?

I was extremely swollen after both of my deliveries despite not experiencing swelling the entire pregnancies.  It wasn’t until the second time that a midwife mentioned to me that Pitocin causes you to retain fluid.  I received a lot of pitocin both times, so my money is on that.

Yes! Drink loads of water and it should come off here soon. It’s the worst though!

I had major swelling after delivery. It started going down yesterday and he’ll be a week old tomorrow. It was so bad i had to take my wedding ring off and i have never had to do that before. I just was able to put it on yesterday. It was still really snug. Haven’t had all swelling go away yet.

I didn’t have much swelling during pregnancy but my legs and feet swelled up pretty bad postpartum. It didn’t happen until after I got home but lasted for about 3-4 days. See hobbit foot below 🤣

Yes, my feet got super swollen after delivery. It was so bad that my mom, who never cries felt so bad for me and shed few tears. But swelling did completely go away within the week after delivery. Now my fingers are still not back to normal yet
