Balloon induction?

Has anyone been induced with the foley method before?? Iv got an app 3days past my due date for a induction date and they will be doing a balloon induction.. my midwife won’t give me a sweep for some reason either even though having a sweep set me off into labour with both my other children I really don’t want to get induced but I don’t know how I can get her to do me a sweep when she blatantly said she wouldn’t be doing one on me x

I’m admitted now and that’s what they are suggesting today first. I’m seeing the doctor in about 30 minutes to make the plan how to start the labor going. 
And I really don’t want the pitocin...

My induction started with a foley balloon. It was uncomfortable when they inserted it, but once it was in it didn’t bother me at all. It dilated me from a 3 to a 4, but didn’t end up starting labor. I ended up having to get pitocin the next morning.

I had a foley but it didn’t help. They decided to put it in when I was a 2, and because I wasn’t fully dilated it caused a bit of pain... (they tried placing this thing in three times and they half assed it the last time) dilated me to a 3 and they decided it was emergency c section time.

I’ve had Foley inserted to help dilate. Inserting it was not painful but super uncomfortable. I had it in for 12 hours before they took it out. I’ve heard that sometimes it come out on its on if you dilate certain cm before they take it out after 12 hours
