Miliaria rubra on baby’s face?

Question

My 5 week old has a bad heat rash on both cheeks and her chin on her face.. The doctor says it’s miliaria rubra and to not do anything... just to keep it clean. It’s driving me crazy not to do anything because it’s not getting any better. Anyone experience this with their newborn? I want to try aquafor or something but I don’t want to make it worse since it’s already caused by clogged pores.

My son had this his first week. I just rubbed a little breast milk on it at every feeding and it cleared up in a few days.

Aquaphor doesnt clog pores, if that makes you feel any better.  My dermatologist told me that (I have extremely dry skin in my face so I use it on my face all the time)

Do not put aquaphor on the face.  Just let it go.  It will clear up in a few weeks.
