Applying to jobs while pregnant. Disclose or no?

I’m currently 12 weeks and feel bad not saying I’m pregnant - but I need a job!

I'm a hiring manager and it is highly illegal for us to ask you if you're pregnant so if anyone asks you that question that is a problem and you can turn them in. You are not obligated 2 disclose any information that isn't asked of you. And unfortunately by disclosing the fact that you are pregnant can hinder you with some hiring managers. It is illegal for that to happen but it does happen if the candidate discloses that they are pregnant in an interview where they can make up a different reason as to why you were not selected. Your personal life is no one's business remember that and that is coming from a hiring manager. once you get to a point where you need to request your maternity leave and things of that nature that's when you disclose that.

I don’t know about the US but in Canada, it’s illegal to refuse work to someone based on the fact that they’re pregnant. Of course discretion is taken if the work can prove to be harmful to the mom and child. But employers have to legally make modifications in the work for the safety of their employees. 
I’m assuming it’s similar is US? Or close to similar?

I would definitely not say you’re pregnancy, especially if you’re only 12 weeks as that’s a long way off you needing to inform them. The says you have no obligation to tell them you’re pregnant until much later on and they cannot ask which is because most employers do unfortunately still discriminate against pregnant women in the recruitment process. Leave it until you have to job and ideall after you have passed any probation period I would say. There’s no need to mention it any time soon and it could unfortunately cost you the job. Following because I’m currently applying for a promotion which would take me from an independent contractor to full time employee and they maternity benefits are amazing😱 which is just a bonus because I love my job. I was wondering if I should tell them or not as well. 15 W now

It’s not legal for them to ask so no need for you to disclose until you’ve wow’d them with your skills and secured your position.

I think it depends on the job and how much they would be counting on you staying. If they could get by easy enough/find someone to fill in while you are away I don’t think you have to tell. If it’s something they spend 6 months specifically training you for and are in charge of keeping things running then it seems important to mention

Some more details: 1. I’m Canadian and a teacher. 2. We struggled with infertility while I worked 3 years at a stressful job. I went on medical leave for 3 months and then quit. I took another 3 months off to spend time with family. This January I started business classes to start my business this spring. Finally going ahead with my life plans and not waiting to get pregnant! So of course I became pregnant LOL. I’m due in September. 
I was very sick in February so I started applying this month. I was “verbally hired” by a cash paying job but she’s retiring and wanting people who can work long term and take over the business. I guess I feel guilt because I know I’m leaving and being a cash only job, she could technically let me go (I wasnt legally hired - didn’t sign anything, wouldn’t be paying taxes on it). 
I’ve continued to look for and apply to jobs today but feeling badly because I know I’ll be leaving. I have found some contract jobs, but they’re mostly for summer and I would like to make money before then.

I'm in the same boat kind of! Lol. I quit my job due to harassment constantly and we're going on vacation in a month so I dont want to apply and leave right away. And then if I get a bfp before I start applying I'm afraid on what to do. I think I'm going to wait to tell them until after I get hired. But then when they ask when your due/how far along are you, I'm afraid they'd be upset if it was 10+ weeks. Kinda a tough call😣
