AGE GAP?!

sooo i’m 17 but will be 18 in june and my girlfriend is 15 going to be 16 should i be worried about the age gap?? i genuinely want some opinions and different perspectives on what you think !!

I started dating my boyfriend when I was 15 and he was 17, we are still together today and I am 18 and he is 21. Are you worried for legal reasons or just the fact that you think she is too young for you? If you're worried for legal reasons because you're 18 that's normal, but since you guys are already dating I'm assuming here parents are okay with it. Other than that I wouldn't worry.

My boyfriend and I are 4 years apart. We started dating when I was 17 and he was 21. But here in Texas the consent age is 17 so I was fine and so was he. Depending on where you live depends on if y'all can be sexually active if that's your concern.

It depends. You can’t have sex until she is 16, depending on where you live. Also, how soon until she turns 16? I’m 18 and my fiance is 21, but I was 17 and he was 19 when we started dating so I don’t think it’s that weird. Are you both in high school? If you’re leaving for college soon, I would probably say it’s not a great idea to start up a relationship.

In my opinion that age gap is not bad at all, my boyfriend and I are 7 years apart. We started dating when I was 18.

That’s not okie if yous are having sex. Your profile says your in LA which the age of consent it 18. Since yous both are minors yous could both be charged with statutory rape as neither of yous can consent to intercourse tho this is very uncommon as courts can’t determine which is the victim and which is the predator. However once you hit 18 in june you will be the one charged with statutory rape and put on the sex offenders list and given the tile “pedophile” if caught for having intercourse with a minor so, I would recommend you end what yous are doing because being on the sex offenders list will ruin you. You will have to tell everyone in your neighbourhood and any one that employs you that you are a sex offender and that will just be horrible for you as their first impression of you is “child abuser”. It’s your choice to end it before it’s too late...if you don’t you’re in the wrong and essentially an offender even if you don’t get caught, you will live with that guilt.
