What’s a typical day with a newborn?

Question

I’d like to get an idea of what a typical day is with a newborn by asking real people. From midnight to midnight. Where they sleep, how often and where you feed them, when you eat, when you shower, when someone else helps, etc.
I know it’s busy and every day is different but everyone has different things they use, help from the father or family, and items in the house, so it’d be cool to get a real look at it. Just a random snapshot would be nice.

Newborn, I usually have them most of the time, my husband or mom will hold them when I need to rest or eat. 
I don’t leave the house much so loose clothes that I can breastfeed in are the norm and I literally sit wherever I can to do it. Couch, glider, bed, floor... 
most newborns need to eat on demand and that is different for each baby. Mostly every 1.5-2.5 hours. Takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes per feed. 
So you basically wake up every two hours, feed change and rock baby, lay them down again and try to sleep again until the next time. When mine are super little they actually sleep on my chest and as they get bigger and regulate their temperature better they are in a bassinet or bouncer/swing. (I do co-sleep if the baby needs more contact.) 
It’s pretty difficult to give a play by play because the first couple of months are pretty reactionary to baby’s needs.

From midnight, my 8 week old Cora would generally sleep until around 4-5am then i feed her, re swaddle and put her back in her bassinet next to our bed. 
Then her daddies alarm goes off at 7am, which wakes her also, so I change her bum and bring her into my bed, as she won't sleep in the bassinet once it starts getting light outside. 
Then we snooze together and cuddle in bed for another few hours, she wakes for another feed at around 10. We take morning time selfies cause she's always so happy and smiley, and send them to her Grandma.

Then we get up, she gets a changed bum, sometimes a bath, not everyday though, and I dress her. 
 Then she gets put in her bouncer while i make a coffee, we talk and sing songs, watch some tv. Around 1pm she has a big feed and then a big nap, she falls asleep on me, and sometimes i leave her on me, othertimes I'll transfer her to her swing chair and do laundry/dishes etc. 
She wakes from her nap around 3, has another feed and play. Some tummy time, then feeds again at 6 and naps till 7, hangs out in her swing chair or her play mat while I have dinner, then we watch tv together and she goes to bed at 9. 
Bedtime starts with getting her in her pajamas with a clean bum, sometimes a bath before bed if she isn't settled. 
Then I feed her and sing to her until she is asleep in my arms, transfer her to her bassinet, give her a dummy when she stirs and put on her riff raff white noise maker, she sleeps all night :)

Newborns sleep pretty much all day. I certainly wouldn't call it busy. She slept in a DockATot on the living room floor for all naps at that age and then slept in a pack n play next to our bed at night. My husband didn't "help", he parents. So I'd love it if women in this app stopped calling it "help". I ate when I would normally eat. Breakfast around 10am (I fast from about 6pm to 10am), lunch around 2pm and dinner at 5pm. I showered first thing in the morning like I normally would. We lived 3,000+ miles from family at the time so we didn't have any outside help. I much preferred that anyway. Our day pretty much continued like normal with the addition of feeding a baby and changing her diaper. That age really isn't all that complicated. (also, these statements aren't based on my child alone. I worked with infants and toddlers for a solid 10 years prior to having our daughter. This isn't a tough age group to me at all).

My newborn son is 9 days old now. Typically he’s up for food every 2-3 hours during the day. He’ll usually have one stretch of 4-5 hours he can go for during the night if we fill him up before bed. I usually pump after our morning feed and again in the afternoon. Right now that buys me one 2-3 hour nap in the day where dad can feed him 4-6oz by bottle. Around 11 or midnight we head downstairs to our bedroom, dim the lights and feed in bed. try to put him down around 12:30!or 1 but sometimes it’s 2 or 3. Then we all sleep for up to one 4 or 5 hour stretch. I get up to feed him then can usually get him back in his bassinet for another 2 hour stretch before next feed. This buys me 6 hours sleep and sometimes 8 for my husband.  Just started baby wearing since he naps during the day better in someone’s arms. Day feeds were usually on the couch or in the recliner till we get better at it. Not sure how all this will go once dad goes back to work in a week. Will likely be a totally different routine.

Totally newborn (my daughter cake at 36 weeks) was actually ok...eat, sleep for a couple of hours and repeat all day and night.
At about six weeks they become a little more awake in the day (sometimes night too).

every day is different . he eats and when he is not eating he is crying for a diaper change or sleeping for an hour or two occasionally until he wakes up and wants to eat again lol. since 2 nights ago I have slept a total of 2 hours (not straight). I showered yesterday morning and that was a big accomplishment. make sure to have lots of snacks in the first few weeks because I have literally zero time to cook. I'm breastfeeding though and take care of my son by myself so every situation is obviously different. I wouldn't change it for anything. my son is the best thing to ever happen to me.
