Contractions?

I am 39+1 and I have never had a contraction that I know of. What do they feel like? My doctor says, “Oh, you’ll know. It’s unlike anything you have ever felt.” I know labor will hurt, but I consider myself to have a relatively high pain tolerance. Just want to make sure I am not missing anything.

Pain that probably will stop you your tracks. Then you’ll get a moment of relief. Then bam! Another one. Repeat a bazillion times. 😆

Have you felt BH? The tightening in your uterus is a contraction. That accompanied by pain. They say anything that causes you to stop or something that takes your breath away. If you can still tell through it, it’s probably a BH or early labor contractions. 
It’s kind of a radiating pain. Like a wave. It starts as your uterus tightens and fades away as it loosens back up.

Agree with prior commenters. Feels like cramps at first. I didn’t have BH contractions with my first but this pregnancy I have.
