Did sex induce labor for anyone?

Did it actually work for anyone? And if yes, how soon or how long after having sex?

I don’t think it’s actually the sex that helps induce but more of the hormones released during sex and when you orgasm.

I pumped (my none existent breastmilk) and had sex. Then did the same again an hour later or so. We started at 6pm. I didn’t have any contractions before at all. But they started immediately after pumping. At midnight my water broke and my little baby girl was born in the morning.

TBD I think it’s softening my cervix though ! With my first my cervix wasn’t soft and I wasn’t dilated even at 41 weeks 😭😭 and we’d been avoiding sex bc I felt HUGE
But this time sex is on the table and I’m already soft and dilating

It’s not the actually sex, but the sperm that softens and dilates your cervix and the hormones in their sperm that absorb and cause contractions. They say to leave the sperm and lay in bed as long as you can tolerate after wards before getting up to pee.

Nope. All it did was soften my cervix, didn't even help me dilate 🤦‍♀️😭 Been having contractions for 2 almost 3 weeks now and been sent home twice because I won't dilate past 2 centimeters
