Anything before 37 weeks is preterm. Early term is 37-38+6 weeks. Full term is from 39-40+6 weeks. Late term is from 41-41+6 and post term is from 42 and beyond. L&D nurse here and that’s how it’s considered now. 37 weeks used to be full term but now is 39 weeks.
