So I went to the hospital for contractions, feeling hot, red in the face and feverish and pressure in cervix yesterday around 3:00-3:30 pm. They hooked me up to the monitors and I was for sure having contractions. When they first checked me when I got there I was already 3 cm dilated but I wasn’t effaced and baby was still high up. They gave me water and it didn’t stop the contractions. They gave me other meds to try and help but nothing had worked. Fast forward 6 hours later, got checked again and I’m still 3 cm dilated and now I’m 20% effaced. I had a low grade fever ever since I’ve been here and my white blood cell count is 28,400. They are still trying to figure out what it could be but my doctor is seriously thinking it’s Chorioamnionitis. They are going to draw more blood at 6:00 am and see if there is any changes to my white blood cell count before she has to go into her office.

I’ve been having constant contractions ever since I’ve been here and so far I haven’t been checked since around 8:00-8:30 last night. They aren’t bad painful but mild. Lightening crotch and a lot of pressure in vagina and butt when going to the bathroom.

Baby is very active and the nurses said she’s perfect on the monitor.

Anyone else have this? If so please tell me your symptoms and how you were diagnosed. I’m so scared because if I do have Chorioamnionitis, I will have to deliver my baby early! Any one else have super high white blood cell count during pregnancy and it being something not so serious? Thank you!

Also I’m a stm! I didn’t have this with my first baby!
