Kick counts?

What week did your doc tell you to start doing kick counts? I'm only 26 weeks and my OB told me yesterday at my apt to start doing them. I thought they usually dont have you start them til 28 weeks?

Mine only has me do kick counts IF I feel like movement is lessened. They said any time after 22 weeks when movement is regular. But on the average day I feel her move a ton so there’s no need for the counts.

My doctor hasn’t told me when but I’ve read 28 weeks. However, I feel my baby kicks at pretty consistent times so I just count during those times that he usually does

My last appt at 25 weeks my dr didn’t mention it, this appt today at 27 + 5, the dr told me to start them if I notice baby is moving less. She said 6 times in 1 hr.

It probably is based off of what week they say the third trimester starts. Some people say 26, some say 28

At my last appt. my doctor didn’t even mention it and I’m almost 29 weeks. She did ask if I was feeling kicks and she didn’t seem worried. They may talk about it at the next one. I’m not great at keeping track especially because I’m so busy during the week days. I’m always aware and make sure I can feel a kick or some movements every couple hours 🤷🏻‍♀️ but keeping track is hard!

I had an appt with my ob last week and told her how I don't feel the baby consistently.  She said she's not worried about it until I'm 33weeks.  She said by then the baby should be big enough that I should feel him constantly.  I'm guna start keeping track now tho (28 weeks).
