Sam: ok? So you're gay?

Mike: no! I'm androphilic!

(This is literally the conversation I had about this today)

A fetish is something that turns you on. For example: feet, being urinated on during sex, etc. It's not a sexuality at all.

A fetish is not a sexual orientation. A fetish is something that a person requires for sexual fulfillment in an amount significantly higher than the average person.  People can have fetishes for certain body parts, actions/scenarios, etc.  A lot of fetishes can be enjoyed by anyone of any sexual orientation.

I saw that on tumblr. Me thinks the kids are just trying to show more individuality... they haven't accepted we're all the same yet and being a teen isn't at all special.

I feel like having all these categories is bad because of the whole political correctness you'll encounter. People who identify as something totally off the wall will get offended when people misidentify them, but how is the common public supposed to know and understand and care about 50+ different sexualities? Why does there have to be a label? You like what you like, period. Move on

I'm gender dysphoric, a facet of being transgender. It's not a fetish, and has more to do with my personal dissonance involving my body/sex than my sexuality.
