Lh surge?

The line on my ovulation test was progressively getting darker day by day, but never darker than the control line. According to my apps i should have ovulated today, so even though my line wasn’t as dark... we baby danced last night in hopes we would catch it. This morning i had the darkest line yet (see below)... and then this afternoon when i tested again it was a super light line. Has this ever happened to anyone else that your line just didn’t get darker than the control? Is there still hope for conceiving? Did i somehow miss it even though i test two, sometimes 3 times a day? Could i have had my surge overnight? Help!
