Laying on back?

Anyone else like to lay on their back? I don’t normally like to- I’m a side girl, but now that I have back pain, laying on my side sometimes hurts and the only thing that makes my back feel better is laying on it, but then I feel guilty or get worried and try not to. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Same here! I’ve always slept on my side and now I find myself so much more comfortable on my back but I try to make a conscious effort not to lay on my back. My husband even rolls me over in my sleep or nudges me until I move onto my side if he wakes up and sees me sleeping on my back lol

I'm a tummy sleeper but now I bump gets in the way. I sleep on my side but I wake up on my back several times.

My dr told me its ok. You’ll know when to not sleep on your back. Like me personally, I can’t breathe if I’m laying on my back. The weight compresses my organs and makes it hard to breathe to the point I get dizzy. I have to lay on my side at all times. Even during ultrasounds I have to lay on my side. Just listen to your body. If you wind up on your back in the middle of the night that’s fine. You’ll know when to roll over

Yes it’s the only way I’m comfortable right now, my doctor told me to get one of those wedge pillows! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah. I’m a front or side sleeper but when I’m pregnant - being on my back is almost when I’m most stable and balanced!! I’m like a beached whale.

I am a back sleeper. I’ve been trying to make sure to sleep on my side but wake up a lot on my back. Dr told me not to freak out if I wake up on my back, just while I’m aware move to my side, and she said either side is fine.
