Baby likes when the milk sprays on her face ??

My baby is 3 weeks old and she is EBF. when the letdown happens she just takes my nipple out of her mouth and lets the milk spray all over her face 😂😂 I try to hurry to put my nipple back in because it gets eeeeverywhere and she will keep her mouth shut til it stops spraying, then takes it back. Does anyone else’s baby do this or is my baby just weird 🤣

What is a let down? I TRIED breastfeeding with my other two but my first went to the hospital for 3 months and i dried up and i dried up after 2 weeks with my second so i dont know much about breastfeeding

My daughter could NOT handle the flow from my let down.  I had to pump until I had let down and then put her to the breast.  She would freak out and not nurse at all when let down started.

I’ve always had a strong let down best thing to do is to hand express a bit before you latch baby!

Haha yes!! My son did this!! Eventually he would break the latch and keep his mouth open to just lap it up that way! 🤣 🤷‍♀️ It was so strange, hilarious, and messy. 😆 He’s five months now and doesn’t do that anymore but it was an interesting phase.
