Soo.... long story short, had to go to the ER because of bleeding after intercourse. They discovered I’m 5 weeks 5 days pregnant and that I have bacterial vaginosis. The ER doctor prescribed me antibiotics and I refused to take them. When I asked the pharmacist for his advice on whether or not I should take them, he told me no. He called the ER doctor and the doctor decided to change his mind and wait until I have a follow up appointment with my OB. What are your thoughts on taking antibiotics while pregnant? Also have you ever had BV with any of your pregnancies? This is my fourth pregnancy and I’ve never had anything happen like this before. I’ve done my own research and everything says to wait until the second trimester to take any antibiotics. (I’m extra concerned due to previous pregnancy ending in fetal anomaly).
