Tipped uterus?

I was getting a sonohysterogram and they were having a hard time getting the catheter into my uterus because it’s apparently tipped? When they would push the catheter in it would just poke the uterus wall. They said I need to try again with a full bladder to try and push my uterus to a normal angle. Has anyone else had this? Could this affect ability to get pregnant?

It's called a retroverted uterus. I have it too. My doctor told me that it doesn't affect getting pregnant. I will say, I was only pregnant once & it was a very early miscarriage at 4wks, but I felt more puffiness & bloating in my lower back instead of my stomach which made me feel like I was pregnant even before I took a test.

No. A tilted uterus appears in about 25% of women. It’s just a genetic variant, like green eyes.
