Normal???

Question

Does this look normal for 6weeks 5days ultrasound?? Dr. Was like oh my I might need you to empty your bladder... which yeah I had to pee really bad.. & then he asked are you sure you have you dates right? And I said yeah.. and he measured.. & he said yeah your spot on 6weeks 5days..& showed us th heartbeat which to me was very hard to see.. but I’m just freaking out & idk what to do!!

I had a super similar experience he other day at my first ultrasound - had a full bladder and they had me pee but still said it was not completely empty but here’s my photo - blurry as well... glad to know the reasoning! HR 160

Well first if you saw a heartbeat everything is okay. It probably was the fact that you didn’t empty your bladder. My doctor made me before my 7 week transvaginal. And this is what mine looks like. I would ask for them to do another with an empty bladder. But I wouldn’t be worried if you saw a HB!!

You’re fine. They should have had you empty your bladder before the exam. A full bladder gets in the way during transvaginal Ultrasound and makes it harder to see, that’s why the pictures aren’t as great as others you’ve probably seen on here. He should have had you empty after realizing how full you were before doing the scan. Sorry you had that experience!

Peeing before makes a huge difference but give it a week or 2 and will look alot different. Congrats and gl2ya
