Homemade baby food

Who all has made their own baby food? What is the process of making your own? Did you find it easier than buying baby food from store since it's cheaper? What do you store it in? My boyfriends cousin is wanting to make their own baby food for their baby and makes me thinking of doing it for my own. My dad has a lot of baby food jars from when my little sister was a baby, can I use those to store it? They have been washed and cleaned. They were going to use them for a craft been never did.
