Can I Be in this Wedding???

Ok so I just had a dress fitting today as I am a bridesmaid in my friend’s upcoming wedding. I did not tell her yet, but I am 7 weeks pregnant and on the date of her wedding I will be 36 weeks 😬 
This is my first baby so I’m not really sure what to expect. I am nervous about fitting into the dress (I know I can get it tailored but I’m worried I’ll be huge, I’m already starting from being overweight) and it’s a long full day affair as well as the rehearsal dinner the night before. I’m just worried about whether I’d be up to it when I’m that far along. I already know I’d have to skip out on the bachelorette party (I’d be 33 weeks and they’re going to an amusement park 🙄).
Anyone who has any experience with this have any thoughts? I would hate to back out but if I have to, I’d rather do it sooner than later so she can plan!

I will be two weeks from my due date at my best friends wedding and am a bridesmaid. I am returning my dress and we are going to shop closer towards the wedding for one together. You can’t help how far along you’ll be. She’ll most likely just be excited for you. I was worried but my friend didn’t care at all, she’s just excited to add a new member to our crew!

I would warn her, but I personally couldn't imagine missing a wedding of someone important to me just because I was pregnant! Obviously if for health reasons like bed rest or you go into labor early, but I would personally risk the cost of the dress in that case. Even though weddings are all day events if you're in the wedding, there will be plenty of opportunities to have a seat and put your legs up to rest through the day. The only exception might be if you have to travel away from home for this wedding, I probably wouldn't risk it if it was far away.

I delivered my first 4 days after my brothers wedding. It was a simple wedding so it didn’t matter I was huge. Lol

I’d say warn her in advance and ask if she prefers you’re not in the wedding but I’m sure she’ll still want you to be! If it helps, first time babies usually come at 40 weeks or even after so you most likely won’t be super close to labor.

You probably will be able to, but there's a higher than normal chance you won't, so you should tell her and let her decide. My first went to term, but around 34 weeks I was having a lot of contractions and was put on bed rest for a couple weeks.    At 36 weeks I was fine and could have attended a wedding but not stand up for more than a short time.
36 weeks is full term so it's the time when anything can happen.  I'd tell your friend soon (maybe once you see the little heartbeat) and then let her take the lead.  Is she a flexible person generally?  I have some friends who would be stressed by the potential for things to change but others who wouldn't even bat an eye at it.

I’ll be 34 weeks when I’m in my best friends wedding. I wouldn’t miss it! I plan on trying to stay as active as possible throughout the pregnancy to make sure I can be there!
