I do volunteer work for public health and I have a bag of condoms in my room. A while ago my dad saw them and mentioned them to me without even implying that they were mine. He didn’t seem concerned at all that I might be sexually active and when I told him they were for the events I volunteer at he didn’t doubt it for one second. Having condoms in a person’s room is a pretty obvious clue they have a sex life and I feel like the polite thing to was assume I lied. I mean, I was telling the truth and the condoms weren’t for me, but I guess I’m a little annoyed that he was so quick to believe they weren’t. I’m 17, by the way.
