Do you think it's too late in the school year to switch schools?

The kids get out of school mid June. We moved 40 minutes away from the kids school. The 2 boys are in special programs (one for behavioral problems and the other for speech) and my daughter is in a reading and math group as she fell behind after her bio dad passed away. I'm honestly not sure what to do. They will be going to a school closer in the fall. Should I switch now or wait? My fiance wants them to finish at the school they attend now. Thanks!

I say if you're able to keep up with it, keeping them might be best. Especially for your kiddo with the behavioral problems since changes in home and school life can trigger more behaviors.
But, also consider the start and end times. If you cant give your kids decent time for dinner, showers, home work etc due to the drive- it may not be in their best interest to remain at their school.  
You can also talk to them and get their perspective on it as well. They may be up for a nice new change!

If the travel and distance isn’t causing a money issue, it might be easier to keep them there until the end of the year. Just so it doesn’t disrupt the extra learning and behavioral challenges.
