Secret engagement

Me and my other half have been together for a year and a half, and he is my best friend, sole mate and boyfriend.

He works for the military and I studying as a architecture student so our time together is limited.

After messing around many times about our future plans and such this weekend he casually and calmly asked me about getting married and how I felt about it.

I said it would definitely be something that I would like to happen after my 4 years of study.

Next thing I know, he is saying things like, i feeling like I should be more than just your boyfriend and I had a huge speech about how much I mean to him and his life.

Next thing I know he is waking me up at 2am saying He can’t sleep and he had something on his mind and asks about our chat of our future. He says, I know we can’t actually get married for 3/4 years yet, but I don’t ever want to lose you and I want to show you I am serious about us. I reply with a chat about our loving getting through his Job and all of our hurdles(including my bipolar). He starts to ask me about what I want. I looked at him and realise.... I said ‘you wait here’.

I reach over to my desk to get a silly pink beaded bracelet we won from the arcade the day before, I then say the words ‘Harry, I love you with all my heart and I want you to know you mean the world to me, without you I wouldn’t be the confident and happy person I am today, thank you for everything. Is there any chance you would like to get married after my studies. Would you like to be secretly engaged’..... he looks at me, takes the pink beaded bracelet and says ‘yes’... followed by many tears by the pair of us ❤️

We don’t want people knowing but it’s so hard keeping this a secret !

After the shock, he said let’s go and celebrate the way we know best. Ending up in a Desert parkour smiling..... with my Fiancé ❤️
