Should I go to prom?

I’m a senior in high school and I’m not sure I should go to prom. Is it really worth going to or should I just chill and hang out with people instead of going. I don’t have, nor have I ever had, a boyfriend and no one asked me to go to prom with them so I don’t know if I’ll just be waisting my time by going. I’m also really not the sociable of a person and I’m really self conscious about my weight so getting clothes has always been a struggle for me.
