When do you switch from formula/breast milk to actual milk?

Hi! Sorry if this is a dumb question, but FTM here. I know it’s usually around the time your baby turns one but I’m just wondering if any moms wait longer or do it earlier? 
Also, what type of milk do you start them with?

It’s not recommended to do cow’s milk before their first birthday.

Usually at 1. My daughter didnt take to it and hated regular milk (we even tried different kinds) she started to really have it around 16 months and even thats just with cereal. She rarely just drinks a cup of milk

So at 1 we started organic gmo free pasteurized whole milk. 
We started mixing formula with small amounts of milk. Gradually we increased the milk and decreased the formula until finally it was all milk. 
We like the horizons brand milk. It’s pricier but I like knowing it’s hormone free

I started to transition my son at 11 months mixing a little in with his formula so he was completely off formula by 1
