What should my one year old be eating?
We just had his check up and he’s growing well and is healthy and right where he needs to be with everything except food.
He doesn’t like purées or solids it seems. It’s not cognitive as he was eating fine months ago and then stopped when his bottom two teeth poked through. Ever since its been a struggle everyday to try and get him to eat anything but formula.
Does anyone’s one year old only eat purées and puffs throughout the day?
For those that eat both what type of schedule do you have for feeding?
Edit:
Yes we talked to the pediatrician. And his doctor said it seems odd and if he doesn’t start eating properly within the month he wants us to see a specialist for behavioral help with eating. But the doctor wanted us to give him more time to see if it was a teething issue.
I have tried giving him what we eat when we eat. I’ve tried baby led weaning for months.
I have literally been trying everything I could think of to introduce food in different forms, different textures all at the recommendation of our pediatrician.
He was doing so well with food and then stopped out of the blue. He has never had a choking fit or thrown up, doesn’t gag food away. He just plain old refuses these days.
Sometimes he will put the puffs or strips in his mouth but then plays or tosses them.
If we’re lucky he gets a teaspoon or two of a purée throughout the day.
