Entrapment or justified

So i stumbled across this on IG. Apparently in some places it’s illegal to pick up hitchhikers. Do you believe the officers in this video are justified?

*short summary of what happened*

Video starts with a ticketed driver recording a car pulling up on what appears to be 2 people traveling/hitchhiking. The guy recording tells the driver that the 2 people he pulled up on are undercover cops. The 2 cops then walk towards the guy recording. Where the lady cop says something along the lines of the guy recording taking something from her, and harassing her, as well as her bringing to record the guy. A black and white shows up and begins to question the guy who posted the video. The uniformed officers tell the guy he is impeding on an investigation, to which the guy reply’s what they’re doing is entrapment, he’s in a public area and he is free to record whatever he pleases.

Do you feel the “sting operation” is justified or is that entrapment?

Bonus: should these kind of laws remain? Why/why not
