Has anyone taken steroid called antenatal corticosteroids ( to help develop baby’s lung in case of premature birth)?

Is it safe? For baby? For me? Any long term effects?

Very safe.
Only down side is if you plan to breastfeed it can delay milk coming in by a day or so.

It's very safe, I've taken it at week 35 and now my baby is a healthy 3 months cutie pie, and I'm back to my pre pregnancy self.

It is very safe. I had them at 30 weeks. Luckily I delivered at 39 weeks to a perfectly healthy boy

Safer to have them than not to and then have Bub come early with under developed lungs. 
My son was born at 32 weeks, I didn’t have time for more than one dose of steroids, and even they didn’t have time to kick in. His lungs were so poor that we were told to prepare he could die when he was 24 hours old. He was sent to a hospital 2.5 hours away from home and intubated. Steroids may not have stopped this completely but they would have lessened the degree.
