Prom dress donation?

Anyone know of any organizations that take prom dress donations for young girls who may not have money to buy their own? I have a beautiful size 6 navy blue gown I wore to my sisters wedding that would be perfect for prom. It was like $1000 and I'll never wear it again (no longer fits) so I want it to go to someone who will really appreciate and enjoy it. A few years back I donated to a local high school when I lived in a low income area, but I've since moved & I'm wondering if there are any other organizations that do this? I live in NY btw!
