Provera

Hey ladies the first time i took provera i had ten pills for a ten day cycle after i took provera the first cycle i had a period two days after my last pill for that cycle... my doctor told me to wait n see if my period will start own n if it doesnt start my second cycle of provera to help me jump start another period. I waited for my period to start on its own (which is 28-35 days after the period from cycle 1)n i had nothing for two weeks so i started to take my second cycle of provera and my last pill was sunday march 17th two days after this cycle no period but cramping on my right side only any ideas why this cycle didnt work? I have taken a pregnancy test in a month or so
