My latest cooking class assignment is to make something with chocolate that looks like something savory. So, I made hamburgers with chocolate chip cookie buns and brownie patties. Here's the test run. One is made with a coffee brownie with a coffee chocolate sauce, another with a Mexican brownie (cinnamon and cayenne pepper) with a cinnamon cayenne pepper chocolate sauce, and I'm making some smaller ones with orange chocolate brownies with a mixed berry sauce. I mixed some green food coloring with coconut shreds to represent shredded lettuce and I'll be using marshmallows and red and yellow food coloring to create something that looks like cheese.
