Underwire bra stops milk production?

Question

I went maternity clothes shopping and the woman working tried getting me to buy a pregnancy/nursing bra. Her reason was that underwire bras stop the production of your milk or hinder it. I went home and googled it and have conflicting answers. Most answers say there is no real evidence of this and others say yes it can. 
So was this true for you if you wore an underwire bra while pregnant/nursing?

After having my son I couldn’t wear the underwire bras anymore they hurt so much. I don’t know if it messes with the supply but it wasn’t comfortable anymore

You just need the underwire to always be sitting beneath your breast, and not sitting across any part of your breast. It would be uncomfortable. And you don't want to impede milk drainage with an ill fitting bra as you risk mastitis. They don't recommend underwires as your breasts get bigger/smaller throughout the day as they are filled/emptied of milk, and it can be hard to get the right fit. But if it works okay for you, then that's fine.
