5th Generation Nickname

So me and the SO just found out we are having a little boy💙💙💙 and we decided long ago if we were ever blessed with a son to pass on his name so our son will be the fifth. Since there are 3 different John's in the fam already I want to call him Quint, and Dad loves it also but my Mom was surprisingly pretty negative when I told her and a close friend basically snubbed it and has attacked every idea and thoughts about the baby that I've had. I think they're crazy and they nor anyone else definitely will not be a deciding factor in our son's name or nickname for that matter. I think it's different and I love it, kind of rude to attack someone's choices for their child's name. I'm definitely realizing that you will gain and lose some folks during pregnancy and other major life events. Kind of sad....
