My two year old keeps saying she wants to go home when we’re already home

When she gets upset lately she’ll say she wants to go home and I say “we are home” or where is home? and she just shakes her head and keeps saying she wants to go home.

It’s breaking my heart because it makes me feel like she is unhappy and doesn’t like it here. I remember when I was like 6 or 7 saying I wanted to go home when I was already home because I was feeling depressed and didn’t have the words to say I was sad. But to feel that way at 2??? It’s killing me. What am I doing wrong.

Me and her dad are also separated (but have been for a year now so it’s not anything new to her, so that’s not it) but it makes me scared maybe she means she wants to go to her dads house and doesn’t like being with me or at my house.

She said it this morning when she woke up too. It was the first thing she said. It’s killing me. I just want to make her happy.
