Waist trainer?

What does a waist trainer actually do? Does it help get rid of weight and is it unhealthy?

Answer

No, it doesn’t get rid of weight it just sort of trains your body to look like a certain shape temporarily. Kinda like having your hair in a ponytail for a couple of days then taking it out and your hair wants to stay back and up. 
Not super healthy just because it squeezes all of your insides just to look like you have a more cinched waist for a bit.

No it doesn’t really. It makes you sweat which can burn more calories but it really just shapes your waist and pushes the fat to other areas

I got a brace/ waist trainer pp. my back was so sore and my midwife suggested that it might help. I did not use it for the purpose of waist training but for support. It helped a little with my sore back, did nothing a waist trainer is suppose to do, and was uncomfortable. I suggest not bothering with this if you hope it will trim your waist or loose weight.
